Tasting at the Intercontinental: Part Two

Yesterday, it was all about the salads. Today, the entrees. So delicious....

We tried five different entrees--2 vegetarian, 3 chicken.

Chicken Option #1: Thyme-roasted chicken, apple-raisin bread pudding, almond broccolini and honey carrots. The chicken was beyond. Beyond!

Chicken Option #2: Chicken breast stuffed with porcini mushroom, asiago cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, fingerling potatoes and green beans. We've had this entree before--it is a safe choice.

Chicken Option #3: Chicken napoleon, potato cake, Japanese eggplant and ratatouille. The potato cake was like a gratin, and the ratatouille was delicious.

Veggie Option #1: Ricotta-filled ravioli with roasted patty pan squash and baby zucchini. The squash and zucchini were all wrong in this. I don't know if the seasoning was off or what, but this option was out immediately. Which is a shame, because the ravioli was good.

Veggie Option #2: Grilled vegetable strudel (filled with asparagus and brie). It was okay.

In the end, we mixed and matched the chicken entree: thyme-roasted chicken, apple-raisin bread pudding, green beans and honey carrots. For the veggie entree: the grilled vegetable strudel, but we're putting in some of the ratatouille ingredients in with the asparagus and brie.

Tomorrow...desserts. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Friday, the venue. It's gorgeous!

Everything looks divine! Such decisions to make, you're clearly a seasoned pro!

The chicken options 1 & 3 sounded divine. Not too sure about the veggie ravioli - it can work, but not with those veggies.
