TMI's Bears at the Beach Cupcakes

Here's my attempt at super-creative cupcakes. I call this "Bears at the Beach." And unless I come up with something better by August 15, this will be my entry for Martha's Cutest Cupcakes contest.

Look at these adorable bears, dressed in their swimsuits and ready for the beach. The swimsuits are melted candy coating.

The shells are chocolate and white chocolate swirled together.
Oh no! Sharks! Swim at your own risk, bears.

There you have it, my take on Martha's "Beach and Shark" cupcakes. Tomorrow, I'll post the details of how I did this. Aside from the swimsuits on the bears, these are fairly easy to do. Stay tuned!

So cute! I actually laughed out loud when I saw the bears in bikinis. There's no doubt that you deserve to when Martha's cutest cupcake contest!

Way too cute!! What about adding life saver gummi life preservers, fruit by the foot beach towels, umbrellas, sailboats, etc.? You could take this so much farther. Branch out and try using fondant or gum paste. You can make a lot of cute details with that stuff. Good luck.

They are adorable! I was also going to suggest some mini drink umbrellas for the bears. So cute!

I hope you win!!! You totally deserve to, the little frosting bathing suits really should be the clincher.

GREAT job. I don't think I've ever seen such creative cupcakes outside of a bakery...

PS mini drink umbrellas or life savor floats could be awfully cute too
